USS Tang SS-306r en amerikansk ubåt av Balao-klassen från andra världskriget. Fartygets beväpning omfattade 24 torpeder, ett luftvärnskanon och två maskingevär. Maximal testad nedsänkning är 180 meter. Den sjösattes den 17 augusti 1943. Den 24 oktober 1944 sänktes han under sin femte patrull. Den enda befälhavaren för enheten var Richard OKane, som tillsammans med åtta sjömän överlevde skeppsbrottet och förblev i japansk fångenskap till slutet av kriget. Statistik visar att USS TANG var den mest framgångsrika ubåten i Stilla havet. Sänkte 24 till 31 fientliga fartyg.

USS TANG is an American Balao-class submarine from the Second World War. The ships armament included 24 torpedoes, an anti-aircraft gun and two machine guns. The maximum tested immersion is 180 meters. It was launched on August 17, 1943. On October 24, 1944, he was sunk during his fifth patrol. The sole commander of the unit was Richard OKane, who, along with eight sailors, survived the ships crash and remained in Japanese captivity until the end of the war. Statistics indicate that the USS TANG was the most successful submarine in the Pacific. Sunk 24 to 31 enemy vessels.
